In November 2004, the pair won second prize in the Lied Series of the Erkki Melartin Chamber Music Competition.

From 2008 to 2017, Onnila worked at the Savonlinna Opera Festival as the pianist of soloist guests at the Opera Day Openings. Today, she works at the Lahti Music School as a piano teacher and accompanist. She has collaborated and given concerts with various classical singers.
