The opening concert of the 54th Lahti Organ Festival will feature internationally acclaimed baritone Waltteri Torikka.
The opening concert will take place at Church of the Cross on Monday, August 3 at 6:30 PM. The concert’s diverse programme includes solo songs by Oskar Merikanto, offering a glimpse into the rich output of Finland’s most beloved composer of Finnish-language classical solo songs, madrigals composed by Ilkka Kuusisto to poems by Lassi Nummi, as well as works by Yrjö Kilpinen.
Waltteri Torikka will perform together with pianist Marko Hilpo and organist Johanna Torikka. This is a concert you won’t want to miss!
